Sarpanch wants to make Nagargao p’yat paperless

Valpoi: Anant alias Parag Purushottam Khadilkar, 21- year-old from Nagargao Panchayat, was elected unopposed as the Sarpanch of Nagargao Panchayat. He was elected from ward number six, Brahmakarmali village.

Anant said his first priority would be to get Cellular network in all seven wards, collection of house tax through e-challan and to make it all a paperless process in the Panchayat. 
The completion of the new panchayat building which has been left half constructed for the last five years, develop  tourism spots in the panchayat area, to help the panchayat earn income through this places is also on his list. In addition he would like the construction of footpaths, roads, and the maintenance of street lights as part of his development plans for Nagargao Panchayat.
The Sarpanch of  the  panchayat of Savardem, Ashok Pundalik Chari says his panchayat in Sattari does not have any source of income and is dependent on government grants. He said “The major problems we face are shortage of water, absence of footpaths and roads and crops which are being destroyed by forest animals. I would like to provide 24-hour water in our Panchayat area and construct roads and footpaths in all nine wards of the Panchayat”. He went on to say that he intended to develop Movacho Guno as a tourist spot and earn some revenue for the panchayat.
