PANJIM: Former Curchorem legislator Shyam Satardekar was arrested for alleged trespass Friday and subsequently released on bail, police have disclosed.
The police had booked a case against Satardekar on Wednesday evening on a complaint filed by the Kudchadker family.
Though there were some signs of work on the property that is adjoining his bungalow, the police say that they have written to the Town and Country department to check whether there was any illegal hill cutting given that they are the technical body to determine this.
Sources say that heavy earth moving machinery was used in the alleged trespass that have been confiscated by Curchorem police.
