NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered listing of the petition of Tarun Tejpal (55), former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine, on August 28.
He has sought bail and directions to the trial court in Mapusa in the case of alleged sexual assault on a young colleague on November 7, 2013, during an event organised by the magazine in a 5-star Goa hotel.
Tejpal has also challenged the judgment on December 20, 2017 by the Goa Bench of the Bombay High Court rejecting his bail plea.
Though his petition was fixed for hearing on Wednesday, it was taken up by the Bench of Justices A K Sikri and Ashok Bhushan on Tuesday in view of Eid holiday on Wednesday.
