VASCO: The assault on headmistress, teacher and a peon of Keshav Smruti High School at Alto-Dabolim on Wednesday morning has exposed the lax security in the school.
Parents were shocked when they heard about the incident and raised concern about the safety of their children. Surprisingly, despite the government and police urging all the schools to install CCTV cameras and post security guards in the school premises, the Keshav Smruti HS lacks all the facilities.
When contacted school chairman Pandurang Korgaokar pushed the blame on the government and said latter had failed to supply CCTV cameras and security guards to the school. But after being cornered by media persons Korgaokar said he will try and install the CCTV cameras.
