A Honda Dio scooter went up in flames near the Ganesh Temple, New Vaddem, Vasco, in the wee hours of Friday.
According to reports, Damodar Vishnu Kudalkar, owner of the scooter (GA-06-C 5914), heard some dogs barking and went out of his house, only to see smoke emitting from his garage.
Kudalkar further informed that when he opened the garage, he saw his scooter charred and tried to put off the fire using water and sand.
“Luckily, my other two vehicles, a two-wheeler and an Omini car, were saved by the timely intervention of Vasco fire brigade, who helped in dousing the fire,” said Kudalkar.
Vasco Police is investigating the case.
