MAPUSA: A scooter owned by one Imran Shaikh, a resident of Khorlim, was allegedly set on fire near the Bandekar Petrol Pump.
A source informed that Shaikh has filed a complaint against Rishid Siddique, Akash Payre, Sachin Naik, Gautam Shetkar and Asif Panvali, all residents of Karaswada for allegedly abusing him with filthy language and threatening him with dire consequences.

The accused formed an unlawful assembly with their common intention to take revenge.
The accused have been booked under Sections 504, 506(ii), 143, 435 and 336, r/w 149 of Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
The vehicle was completely gutted.
