MARGAO: Investigation into the mid-sea tragic mishap which left five crew members dead and one missing after the fishing vessel Sea Messiah owned by Martin Fernandes, a resident of Colva, was hit by a coast guard ship on April 25, remain inconclusive.
Till date, the probe by the Yellow Gate police station, Mumbai remains incomplete, while the Coast guard has submitted its inquiry report to its headquarters, but the findings are yet to be made public.
The criminal proceedings in the case would commence after the Yellow Gate Police station files the chargesheet against the accused. The Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) is also conducting its own investigation into the mishap.
