Security to HC registrar illegal, says activist

Lawyer activist Advocate Aires Rodrigues today complained to the Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravindra Yadav regarding the alleged illegal security provided at the residence of the Bombay High Court at Goa registrar I K Jain.
The advocate has requested to immediately withdraw the security squad from the place and sought to initiate an inquiry into the matter.
“Over the last over six months, four constables and one head constable have been posted illegally at the official residence of the registrar situated at Government colony at Patto, Panaji,” the advocate said in his letter to the DIG.
The activist said that Jain was not entitled to any security at her residence and that none of the earlier High Court registrars had any policemen posted at their residence. He has also demanded to recover the costs incurred for the security cover at the place from the registrar.
