PANJIM: Directorate of Transport launched a mobile app for the convenience of people to register complaints against violation of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Transport Minister Ramkrishna Dhavalikar appealed to the people to make use of the app to book offenders. He said it is an attempt to curb violations on the roads and people should support it.
The app is available on Google Play Store and can be downloaded on a mobile. It is people friendly and a complaint can be lodged in just five steps. Uploading a picture or video of the violation is also possible on this app.
An official said, “The app is designed by experts considering all the aspects and difficulties of the general public.”
Deputy Director of Transport, Prakash Azavedo, said Transport Department will inform the complainant about the status and action taken on their complaint.
“This mobile app provides convenient facility to the citizens to log complaints against vehicle owners or operators for violation of Motor Vehicle Rules. The ‘Complaint Registration’ app is available on Google Play Store as well as Apple Store to reach a wider audience,” Transport Director said.
