Pet peeves: At logger heads with Michael Lobo, MLA of Calangute claims that Calangute has no garbage problem since it is collected, segregated and sorted. Second pet peeve is the Goa State Pollution Control Board which has stated that Calangute is among the few panchayats which are not sorting plastic. Flies in the face of his claim of doing a perfect job of waste management. Has called the GSPCB a “bunch of liars”.
Since he doesn’t see a problem, he doesn’t really need a solution. Blames MLA Lobo for not doing anything, and says that Candolim has more garbage on its beaches than Calangute.
