A self-accident was reported near Majestic Pride at Porvorim on Monday morning. The driver lost control of the vehicle and dashed at a parked car. As per the eyewitnesses, the car was at high speed, due to which the driver lost control and resulted in the collision. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The incident took place in the wee hours on Monday morning at around 5 a.m. The four-wheeler was on its way from Panjim, heading towards Porvorim. On the sharp turn near Majestic Pride, the driver of the speeding vehicle lost control of the vehicle and dashed into the parked car along the roadside. The collision was so intense that the vehicle turned turtle.
The eyewitnesses immediately came to help the driver and took him to the hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident. According to the sources, due to drowsiness, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The accident led to temporary traffic congestion which was later cleared off.
A similar incident was reported on 28th January 2024 wherein a high-speed rental car collided with a parked four-wheeler in the early hours around 4 am, resulting in substantial damage to both vehicles. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, but the driver of the rental car sustained minor injuries to his face.
