A shocking incident unfolded during Sunday’s Gram Sabha at St Cruz village panchayat when a senior citizen suddenly collapsed. The meeting stopped abruptly as the elderly man fell ill amid discussions. Former St Cruz MLA Victor Gonsalves who was present at the meeting sprang into action to deliver aid to the man.
Gonsalves rushed him to Goa Medical College since the ambulance delayed reaching the scene. Doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
