However, the State Government has now proposed a separate road for lorries and trucks transporting ore plying from Curchorem, Quepem and Sanguem.
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat during Question Hour on Friday told the House that a committee is working on a plan to have separate road for transport of mining ore of three talukas.
He was responding to a question tabled by Sanguem MLA Vasudev Gaonkar who highlighted the issue of traffic congestions caused by increasing vehicles carrying mining ore.
