MARGAO: Residents of Ratwaddo area of Colmorod ward of Margao Municipal Council on Tuesday demanded that the area be included in the sewerage network scheme presently in progress under JICA.
They expressed their anguish that the western part of the area has not been included in the sewerage network under the scheme, accusing the authorities for haphazard planning since the line currently being laid in the area will cater to the needs of only the eastern side of the ward.
Agitated residents on Tuesday confronted the Project Consultant Rahul and Sewerage Engineer Patel, who expressed helplessness in the matter saying that they are only implementing design as provided by the higher ups.
The residents have decided to submit a memorandum to the concerned authorities to demand the laying of the necessary lines to cover the area.
