VASCO: The allegations of the Congress regarding a BJP Minister’s involvement in a sex scandal has interestingly generated a lot of political heat in the Mormugao taluka, even though the Minister’s name, his constituency nor his taluka was never mentioned by the GPCC chief in his press conference, alleging that a serving minister was involved in rape and sexual harassment and had evidence to back it.
Immediately after the press conference one BJP MLA, Carlos Almeida said that the party’s image would be harmed and the concerned minister should be dropped.
Almeida’s statement on sex scandal during the press conference sent shock waves and political heat in Mormugao Taluka.
This issue has also become talk of town with many different stories emanating every day, leaving people only to guess who the Minister could be. From coffee shops to other market places, the sex scandal topic has generated very high political heat and more because of the Vasco MLA’s statement.
“Earlier, BJP was a different party, now party has changed. Now this sex scandal has come to the fore. I think Congress is hinting about some minister nearby. Let’s wait and see when “the movie” is out and we know who is the minister involved in this scandal. The allegations made by Congress have to be true because I know a person whom I can trust, has seen the video. The only thing is that in video the face is not seen, hence I had reported the matter even before Goa BJP election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis,” Almeida said
He further added that “I had even told that there are five States going for elections early next year and this video will have severe impact on BJP in all these five states if BJP again gives him ticket. I also demand that party should sack this minister at the earliest,” said Almeida.
