Member of Parliament and AICC Secretary Shantaram Naik said that the sparkling victory of UPA-led by Congress in the Lok Sabha elections was on account of tireless campaign of Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi, clean a transparent image of the Prime Minister and youthful campaign of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
According to a press release Naik called on Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh congratulating the duo at 10 Janpath during a get-together of all the AICC office bearers.
Mr Luizinho Faleiro, Permanent Member of Working Committee also attended the get-together.
Political Advisor to Congress President Ahmad Patel, General Secretaries, Gulam Nabi Azad, Oscar Fernandes, Hari Prasad, Treasurer Motilal Vohra, R K Dhavan, Kapil Sibal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, A K Anthony and all other senior leaders were also present.
Mr Naik in his statement has also congratulated Francisco Sardinha for winning the South Goa Parliamentary seat.
