OLD GOA: Asking the State government to specify the type of ultra modern waste treatment plant to be set up at Bainguinim, North Goa MP Shirpad Naik said people from all sections of society should be taken into confidence before it is implemented.

Naik was reacting to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s announcement in the assembly session that an ultra modern waste treatment plant will be set up at Bainguinim to cater to the waste generated in Tiswadi and central parts of Goa.

It may be recalled that the proposed plant of the Corporation of City of Panjim has been delayed following opposition from locals, who along with Cumbarjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar have been opposing it tooth and nail.
