PANJIM: The Special Investigation Team probing the scam into 182 mining leases, has decided to challenge the bail granted to mining trader Imran Khan.
The petition challenging his bail order will be filed before the High Court of Bombay at Goa, next week.
“We are contesting his bail order,” SP Kartik Kashyap confirmed when contacted by Herald. It is learnt that circumstantial evidence and statements of actual lease holder Maria Figueiredo, accusing Khan of misleading the family to extract ore from the property without their knowledge, will be submitted before the court.
