PANJIM: Upset over Sonsoddo garbage menace, the High Court of Bombay at Goa has slammed the authorities for giving excuses not to complete the work of disposal of waste.
“We implead M/s Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt. Ltd. as a Respondent to these proceedings, because, we are not satisfied with the affidavit filed. We get an impression that only some base is created for eventual excuses not to complete the work or not to proceed with the work at the desired pace,” the Division Bench of Justice M S Sonak and Justice R N Laddha observed.

During the hearing Advocate General informed the HC that a high level meeting was held on Tuesday to expedite the dump disposal and he will submit minutes of the meeting on next date (May 2) of hearing.
