One of the most experienced Sopo collection contractors attributed the poor response to auction to the reduction of the morning wholesale market time to 7 am from the old 8.30 am. He said that the reduction in time limit has resulted in a slowdown in wholesale market and low Sopo collection too.
According to sources, the Sopo collection tender auction was held on Friday with only three applicants. There were eight applicants last year. There has been a delay of more than a month for the auctioning this year. The source said that the chief officer delayed the auction by going on leave exactly when the auction was planned.
