The South Goa Hotel Owners Association has raised concerns over an acute shortage of commercial LPG cylinders in Margao, stating that the disruption in supply is severely impacting business operations.
Hoteliers and restaurant owners reported that the irregular availability of cylinders has affected daily functioning, with some establishments struggling to maintain services. They also claimed that the situation is beginning to impact staff salaries due to operational setbacks.

Appealing for immediate intervention, members of the association have urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to address the issue at the earliest. They alleged that despite assurances given by the Chief Minister on the floor of the Assembly, a consistent supply of commercial LPG cylinders has yet to be restored.
The association has called for urgent corrective measures to ensure uninterrupted supply, warning that prolonged shortages could further strain the hospitality sector in South Goa.
