GRM has been fighting for primary education in mother tongue for the past approximately three years has made common ground with the AAP policy of appointing experts to finalise the education policy and the medium of instruction.
“We have always been demanding an academic authority,” Yugank Naik told a press conference Tuesday in the presence of members of GRM and AAP leaders Valmiki Naik and Dr Oscar Rebello.
The students are known for street plays and running campaigns on Facebook propagating their views.
Naik told the assembled media that they would be working for the AAP candidates and after the elections would pressurize the government to agree to their demands along with AAP.Dr Rebello in fact went a step further and said his personal view was that the education policy including the medium of instruction should apply to both public as well as private schools be they aided or unaided.
