DCT’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College (Autonomous), Cujira, has been conferred with the prestigious Inspiring Educational Institution Award 2026, presented biennially by the Vibrant Goa Foundation in recognition of outstanding contributions to education, skill development, industry engagement, and societal impact.
The award was presented by Shri Mauvin Godinho, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Government of Goa. It acknowledges the institution’s consistent efforts in fostering academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development.
Under the leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Manoj S. Kamat and Administrator Shri Rajesh Bhatikar, the college has achieved several milestones by effectively leveraging its autonomous status. These include the introduction of innovative programmes in commerce, economics, management, artificial intelligence, and aviation, along with initiatives promoting research, entrepreneurship, start-ups, skill development, and the organisation of national-level events such as business hackathons.
Over the past three years, the college has recorded notable success in student placements, academic achievements, awards, and industry collaborations, while also strengthening holistic development through strategic partnerships and quality-driven initiatives.
Shri Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman of Dempo Charities Trust, and Smt. Pallavi Dempo, Trustee, expressed pride in the institution’s progress and reaffirmed its alignment with the Trust’s long-term vision for education and social development.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Manoj S. Kamat attributed the honour to the collective efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff, enthusiastic students, supportive parents, and the proactive management under the guidance of Shri Shrinivas Dempo and Smt. Pallavi Dempo.
