Based on the pastoral year of mercy, the theme chosen is ‘Inspired by St Francis Xavier, let us be messengers of God’s Mercy’.
The theme will be expounded on all novena days. The 8.15 am mass from November 24 to December 2 has been allotted to Shiroda, Mardol, Benaulim, Ponda, Macasana, Talaulim, Margao (Holy Spirit), Nachinola and Betalbatim Parishes in their respective day sequences. While the 3.45pm mass, the following Diocesan Centers: Biblical, Missionary Animation, Family Service Centre, Liturgical Centre, Lay Apostolate, Communication Media, Pastoral Secretariat, Catechetical and Education, Youth, Priests and Vocations, Social Justice and Peace, Caritas and Women Religious will celebrate the novena mass for the faithful. All the above masses will be celebrated in Konkani. The evening 6.15 pm mass will be in English.
On November 27 the 11.30 am mass will be in Tamil while the masses at 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm will be in Malayalam and Hindi respectively. There will be a mass in Portuguese on November 26 at 11.30 am followed by a French mass at 2.30 pm. Marathi Mass will be on December 1 at 11.30 am and the Spanish mass will be on December 3 at 3 pm. On November 25 a special mass will be celebrated for the sick at 3.45 pm.
On December 2, Pilgrims from villages around Goa and beyond its boundaries will participate in the mass at 12:30 pm. The daily novena mass timings from November 24 to December 2 are : 6am, 7.15am, 8.15am, 9.30am, 10.30am, 3.45pm, 5.15pm and 6.15pm.
On November 26 and 27, there will be Mass at 5am. On the feast day masses will be as follows: 4am, 5am, 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm (english mass).
The feast mass will be at 10.30am with Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas as the main Celebrant.
