PANJIM: Panjim police have registered a case of attempt to murder against 6 unknown persons for attacking one self employed Shakil Jamadar with hockey sticks and swords at Tambdi Mati, St Inez.
According to police, on Tuesday night while the vicitim was about to enter the building where he resides, 6 persons wearing masks arrived in a car and began to assault him.
The complainant has further stated that the masked accused held hockey sticks and swords. In an attempt to save himself from the attack, the victim ran into a neighbouring building. He received serious injuries to his hands and body. Then he went to GMC for treatment.
Police have registered a case under Section 143, 148, 504, 307 read with section 149 of the Indian Penal Code. Further investigation is in progress.
