PONDA: Ponda police on Tuesday recorded the statement of second molestation victim in Mangueshi molestation case in which temple priest Dhanajay Bhave (51) is the accused.
Police said that the second victim came to Ponda police station and recorded her statement along with her parents. She is of Goan origin and is residing in Mumbai.
Police have also recorded statements of people and authorities at Mangueshi.
Two girls have accused Bhave of molesting them in the temple – one on June 14 and the other June 22.
The accused priest Bhave has filed two applications seeking anticipatory bails before the Sessions Court at Ponda; arguments on both the applications have been heard and orders will be pronounced on August 4.
