CURCHOREM: The Chairperson of Quepem Municipal Council Raul Pereira is annoyed with the non-functioning street lights and the regular disruption of power supply in Quepem town and its surrounding areas.
“Without any rain or wind the power goes off and this is a regular feature in Quepem for the last several days inspite of shutting down the line for two days before monsoon for maintenance work” said Pereira. He also revealed that many places in Quepem town remained in the dark for several days due to non-installation or non-functioning street lights and officials of the electricity department keeps passing the buck to each other.
