PANJIM: More than 50 students of Padre Conceicao College of Engineering (PCCE), Verna on Monday gheraoed Goa University Vice Chancellor Satish Shetye demanding rearrangement of marks for the computer science paper claiming that the paper contained 37 questions that were not in the syllabus.
The third year computer science students of PCCE Monday morning submitted a memorandum to Shetye with a demand that the University should grant those 37 marks of which questions were out of syllabus as a result of which 55 students failed. The paper was Artificial Language.
The demand was however, rejected by the University claiming that the questions were not out of syllabus as students from other colleges appeared for the same paper and were cleared.
University Registrar V P Kamat told media persons that the University has rejected the said demand on the ground that the questions were attempted by several other students and were cleared by them.
