PANJIM: GPYC president Adv Valanka Alemao appealed to the people of Dabolim and Navelim Constituencies to support Congress candidate from South Goa in the forth coming parliamentary election.
Addressing the meetings organized by GPYC in Dabolim and Navelim on the achievements of UPA II govt, she said Congress can give stability and does not discriminate on the basis of religion. She urged the Youth Congress volunteers to visit every house and explained them about the various financial benefits schemes given to them by UPA II government at the centre, states a press release issued here,
Speaking further, she said “We have to build a strong youth brigade to fight against communal forces which are bad for Goa”.
She spoke at length on the Lokpal Bill, Food Security Bill and on the benefits of RTI.
She said that All India Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is trying hard to build a strong Youth Congress cadre base organization.
She disclosed that large number of youth from different places is coming forward in support of Rahul Gandhi who will be able to save the country from anarchy.
Booth president from Dabolim constituency Amit Belgaunkar spoke on the steps taken to improve the living in India. General Secretary of South Goa Zameer Narangi LYC disclosed the steps taken to improve the standard of living of the minorities and the vision of Rahul Gandhiji as a youth leader. Shekar Jalanila, AYC president of Dabolim assembly emphasized on the right to vote and the midday meal scheme, adds the press release.
