Sussanne moves HC to quash FIR against her

PANJIM: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife and interior designer Sussanne Khan has moved the High Court of Bombay at Goa seeking to quash the First Information Report (FIR) registered against her at Panjim Police Station, in connection with a cheating case.

She has also sought directions to the investigating agency not to initiate any coercive action against her till the final disposal of the petition.
Panjim police are investigating a complaint filed by real estate firm Emgee Properties’ managing partner Mudhit Gupta alleging that Khan represented herself as an architect and designer, and in September 2013, the company executed a contract with her ‘for architectural and designing services’. The complaint alleges that she failed to execute the project in Siridao and as such cheated the firm of Rs 1.87 crore.
Khan has asserted that she is the sole proprietor of Sussanne Khan House of Design, previously known as Sussanne Roshan House of Design. She has been in the business for 15 years and taken up several projects. It has been learnt that the Council of Architecture had stated that Khan was not registered with it prompting a police complaint.
The respondents – Goa government and Panjim police – have been issued notices by the High Court to reply to the petition. The matter is scheduled to be heard two weeks from now.
