MARGAO: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Saturday hoped that the distribution of tabs shouldn’t only be a pre-poll sop as alleged in many quarters and demanded that the government should ensure that all the beneficiaries get the tablets at the earliest without any partiality.
He was speaking at a function held to distribute tabs for the students of Holy Spirit Institute in the presence of Labour Fisheries Minister, Avertano Furtado, School manager, Fr Marcelino Rodrigues, Headmistress Dr Myrtle Caldeira and members of the PTA. The Fatorda MLA exhorted the students to utilise the tabs judiciously and not fall prey to the distractions that also come alongside.
In his address, Labour Minister Avertano Furtado thanked the Chief Minister for honouring his promise of distributing tabs to the school students. He made an impassioned plea to the students to make good use of the tabs to enrich their knowledge.
