BICHOLIM: The Bicholim Block Congress on Thursday threatened to go on hunger strike if the government fails to take up the work of Bicholim KTC bus stand with immediate effect.

It may be recalled that the foundation stone for the bus stand was laid nearly a year ago, but after that nothing happened. The bus stand is in a pathetic condition.
“There are huge potholes and the government is not sensitive to the issues of the people. It is just giving assurances, but nothing has happened in the taluka,” claimed block president Meghasham Raut.
“Last year the slab of the bus stand collapsed and a woman was injured. It’s almost 20 years that the bus stand was constructed,” Raut informed.
