PANJIM: BJP’s Taleigao unit has slammed its local Congress MLA Jennifer Monserrate for being absent during the recently concluded State Legislative Assembly’s Budget Session, thereby failing to raise the issues concerning the people of the constituency.
“The elected representative of Taleigao constituency was absent throughout the session, wherein she lost the golden opportunity to raise the issues and hardships faced by the people of Taleigao,” BJP’s Taleigao unit general secretary Shivprasad Kenkre said.
Kenkre pointed out various issues in the constituency, including poor road conditions, frequent power failures, inadequate water supply, lack of proper sewerage connectivity and above all the failure to develop and clean the St Inez creek. “It looks like the patience of the people of Taleigao has been taken for granted,” he said.
