Tanavade says if it was in my hands I would have opposed merger of 8 Congress MLAs into BJP

In some major news, the BJP State President Sandanand Tanavade has said if it was in his hands he would have opposed the merger of 8 Congress MLAs into the BJP. So then whose plan was it to effect the merger of the Congress MLAs into the BJP even when they had substantial numbers? Tanavade said the 8 Congress MLAs were inducted into the BJP as per direction from the Central leadership.
