PANJIM: Responding to a query on the ‘Loss of Life and Property Due to Cyclone Tauktae and Yaas’, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai informed the Rajya Sabha in written reply that the State of Goa had not submitted any memorandums or demands for financial assistance.

She also listed out the damage caused to Goa and four other States that were affected by Cyclone Tauktae in May 2021. She said that in Goa, “Three human lives were lost, 2004 houses/huts were damaged, 160 cattle were lost and crops in 227 Ha area were affected.”
