TCP just rectifying an error says Deepak Dhavalikar

PANJIM: Denying he had applied for any zoning change, Maharashtrawadi Gomantaka Party (MGP) President Deepak Dhavalikar on Thursday said the Town and Country Planning Department has merely rectified the error of Forest Department.
Dhavalikar’s name appears in the list of 23 cases approved by the TCP  Board for zoning change on Wednesday.
“I have not applied for zoning change it was error of the Forest department which had wrongly shown my land of 3,93,100 sq mt as buffer zone,” Dhavalikar told Herald.
He said that the buffer zone if within one kilometre from wildlife century this land is four kilometres away.
Dhavalikar said the TCP upon the request of Forest department has rectified the error.
“The land has been reverted to original zoning. I have not asked for any zoning change. Infact I have had to pay Rs 50,000 from my pocket,” he said adding “I don’t understand the logic of previous government wherein I was a part as minister.”
Further, he said, the issue has been now brought into limelight to malign his image.
“Maybe someone is playing mischief and wants to malign my image as I am a political figure,” he said.
