PANJIM: Following requests from students, the Board of Technical Education has decided to grant additional examination opportunities to students of the diploma programme of certain batches, who had failed to clear the exams required to obtain their diploma certificates.
The students of three-year, three-and-a-half -year and four -year diploma programmes, had recently asked the Directorate of Technical Education to grant them additional attempts after the Aril 2019 board exam. This request was made so that these students are able to attain their diploma certificates. The Board, during its meeting held on September 12, deliberated on the issue and decided to grant the students the additional attempts.
Students have been granted two attempts- November 2019 and April 2020, to clear their exams, failing which they will stand exited from the system.
Under the three-year Diploma programme, two additional attempts- Novembers 2019 and April 2020, have been granted to students of the 2006 to 2010 batch with four or less number of courses pending completion. Students of the said batches, with more than four subjects stand exited from the system.
Further, a ‘Mercy’ attempt granted to students of 2O12 batch under the three-year Diploma Programme has been granted in the April 2020 Board Examination.
Two additional attempts have been granted to students of the 2013 batch under the ‘Revised Semester System’ of three years duration – November 2O19 and April 2O2O Board Examinations.
A ‘Mercy’ attempt has been granted to students of the 2O1O batch under the four-year Diploma Programme i.e. April 2020 and an additional attempt has been granted to students of the 2011 batch under the same programme for April 2020.
