The gang got together to defeat me, says Hoble

PANJIM:  A day after his dramatic defeat in the Goa Bhandari Samaj elections, Anil Hoble has claimed that he has single-handedly worked for the Samaj when the entire ministers and MLAs were scared of even talking about it to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
“All BJP Ministers, MLAs have worked against me even people like Kiran Kandolkar, Dayanand Mandrekar, Dilip Parulekar, Ravi Naik, Vinod Palyekar and Jayesh Salgaocar worked against me,” he told Herald.
Further, Hoble said, ask all these people who all got together to defeat me what have they done for the Samaj.
“It was due to my efforts reservation was increased from 19%  to 27 %. What have these so-called MLAs and ministers done? They were scared, as if they protested Parrikar would threaten them or drop them,” he alleged adding the gang of thieves got together to defeat me.
Even though the BJP leader Anil Hoble lost the Bhandari Samaj election, it was the BJP, Goa Forward and Congress leaders, who joined hands to bring in change.
Right from the time the elections were called for the leaders of the Congress, Goa Forward and BJP were seen on the same platform asking for a change.
When suggested that the loss of Anil Hoble was defeat of BJP, BJP karyakarta Dattaprasad Naik said the elections were not fought on political lines.
“Please understand the panel which won was led by Ravi Naik, Dayanand Mandrekar, Dilip Parulekar, Kiran Kandolkar, Jayesh Salagaocar and Vinod Palyekar,” said Dattaprasad while speaking to Herald adding “the panel was also supported by Girish Chodankar.”.
Jayesh said It was purely a Samaj election and not fought on party lines.
“Anil Hoble tried to manipulate elections. He even tried to bring in 1000 illegal voters, tried to manipulate election roll tried to manipulate and in spite of that he lost elections,” he stated.
Dattraprasad said that the top 5 functionaries elected are from BJP so how anyone say it was a BJP defeat.
“Why are people only looking at President’s defeat? All the Bhandari Samaj leaders have come together to take the samaj forward,” he stated.
