Three Karnataka Men Detained in Mandrem for Allegedly Harassing Locals, Forcing Tourists to Take Photos

Three youths from Karnataka were taken into preventive custody by Mandrem police after they were allegedly found misbehaving with local residents and attempting to force foreign tourists to click photographs with them.

Police identified the individuals as Ashish (27), K. Chetan (26) and R. Kumar (35), all residents of Karnataka. According to officials, the trio was creating a public nuisance and causing discomfort to both locals and visiting tourists in the area.

Acting on complaints and information received, Mandrem police intervened and detained the three men to prevent any further disturbance. Authorities said appropriate preventive action was taken as per law to maintain public order and ensure the safety and comfort of residents and visitors.

Police have reiterated that strict action will be taken against anyone found indulging in behaviour that affects public peace or tarnishes the image of the state as a safe tourist destination.
