VASCO: Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off Tirupati-Vasco weekly train service on December 29 at Tirupati railway station. Having direct train service to Tirupati was a long pending demand of devotees from Goa that would soon be fulfilled.
According to Railway officials, the Railway Ministry has decided to introduce Train No 17419/17420 Tirupati-Vasco-da-Gama Express (weekly) and Train No 17021/17022 Hyderabad-Vasco Express (weekly).
Train No 17419 Tirupati-Vasco Express will leave from Tirupati at 17.10 hours on December 29 (regular timing 11:30 hours on every Thursday). The train will reach Vasco at 12:15 hours (regular timing 06:00 hours) on the next day. On return journey Train No 17420 will leave from Vasco at 16.00 hours on December 30 (regular timing 09:00 hours on every Friday). The train will reach Tirupati at 10.30 hours (regular timing 04.00 hours) on the next day.
The train will have 10 coaches and will halt at Renigunta, Koduru, Razampet, Cuddapah, Yerraguntla, Muddanuru, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakal, Ballary, Thornagallu Jn, Hosapete Jn, Munirabad, Koppal, Gadag Jn, Annigeri, Hubballi, Dharwad, Alanavar, Londa Jn, Castle Rock, Kulem, Sanvordem (Churchorem) and Madgaon Jn stations.
Similarly, Train No 17021Hyderabad -Vasco train will leave from Hyderabad at 15.00 hours on December 2 (regular timing 09.20 hours on every Thursday). The train will reach Vasco at 12.15 hours (Regular timing 06:00 hours) on the next day.
On return journey, Train No17022 Vasco-Hyderabad train will leave from Vasco at 16:00 hours on December 30 (regular timing 09:00 hours on every Friday). Train will reach Hyderabad at 13:45 hours (Regular timing 07:40 hours) on the next day.
Train No 07419 and 07021 will be amalgamated at Guntakal Station and will run as one Train as 07419 from Guntakal to Vasco.
Train No 07420 Vasco-Tirupati will be bifurcated at Guntakal station and one portion of 10 coaches will go to Hyderabad as Train No 07022.
