Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will concentrate on a few pockets and contest the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections. “We are a very small party. In the 2014 elections it was an experiment that many of our workers wanted just to establish themselves as leaders,” Sisodia said during an interaction with the media. He added, “It was a successful experiment. We did not expect everyone to win. But everyone has established themselves.” He further said that the party is focusing on Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Goa and a few seats around Delhi. “We will be focusing on pockets. Our party is analyzing the entire country’s situation and will decide how many seats we will contest,” he added. Asked about contesting the Lok Sabha seats in Goa, Sisodia replied he is having closed-door meetings with AAP leaders in the State. “It would be premature to say anything right now. We are watching the situation. The situation in Goa is not stable right now. We don’t know when Goa is going to have its next Assembly election,” he said. Sisodia said that the party has been contesting elections in various states depending on its leadership and strength of volunteers. “We are not under the impression that we are big national party. We are a very small party, we come from Delhi and have hopes from all across the country, we have people who look forward to us,” Sisodia added.
