CURCHOREM: Curchorem Fire and Emergency Services received a several calls informing them about incidents of trees getting uprooted at many places on Thursday.
According to Control Room Operator Ravi Bidkar, besides several incidents of trees getting uprooted and crashing on the roads, a huge tree fell on the house at Dodiyal, Xelvona causing a loss of Rs 15,000. In another incident a jackfruit tree fell on the house behind the police station Condi-Quepem while another tree crashed on the house at Ghaneamorod-Curchorem causing a damage of around Rs 5,000 and 10,000 respectively. “In all three cases no one was injured,” Bidkar informed.
