An accident took place along the Bambolim-Dona Paula Highway on Saturday morning at around 9:45 am between a truck and a Kadamba bus. The accident unfolded as both the truck and the bus were travelling in the same lane. Suddenly, the truck hit the rear end of the bus and veered off its course and into the adjacent lane before ultimately ending up in the bushes. Upon the gathering of onlookers, the truck driver fled from the scene, unharmed. Thankfully, the Kadamba bus was not ferrying passengers and both the driver and conductor were safe.
Recounting the incident, the Kadamba bus driver stated, “We were on the same lane when he unexpectedly struck me from behind, the truck then shifted lanes and veered into the bushes. Upon checking on him, I found him unharmed and turned off the truck. However, as people started to gather, he fled from the scene. I discovered a book with the contractor’s details in the truck and informed him.”
