MAPUSA: Calangute police arrested two Karnataka natives Sachin Rathod and Raj Pawar for cheating tourists.
According to Calangute police, the two accused allegedly cheated tourists on the pretext of providing a girl for enjoyment at night.
A decoy complained that to lay trap the accused, he paid them Rs 5,000, however, the accused failed to provide a girl.
Later, he contacted Calangute police Inspector Jivba Dalvi who laid a trap wherein the accused were contacted asking them to provide a girl. And when the duo came to collect the cash offering to provide a girl, they were arrested by Calangute police. They were identified by the complainant.
Police also recovered Rs 5000 cash from the accused and seized their mobiles phones. They are booked under Section 420 read with 34 of IPC.
