Two arrested for mobile theft

CALANGUTE: Two persons were arrested by the Calangute police on Tuesday in connection with a mobile theft.
Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi said that Santosh Yadav, a resident of Haryana, complained that some unknown persons had committed theft of his waist bag containing his mobile and other belongings. The police registered an FIR and started investigating immediately.
Accordingly the mobile was tracked by the police and the same was found to be in use at Baga, Calangute. Based on the investigation, the police traced that the phone was being used by one Humendurrehman Hussain, a native of Uttar Pradesh. After which he was arrested. 
On interrogation Hussain disclosed the name of his other partner involved in the crime. 
The police also traced and arrested the second accused identified as Harigopal Pathak, native of Uttar Pradesh.
Police have successfully recovered the Redmi mobile phone worth Rs 20,000. 
Both the accused persons are currently in police custody after being arrested under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police are currently looking out for more people involved in crime.
