MARGAO: Margao Town Police yesterday booked a case of sexual harassment against two youngsters who reportedly gave a stupefying substance to a friend of theirs and took her photographs when she was in the stupor.
A young girl who is a student of Rosary College at Navelim, on Thursday afternoon went with 24-year-old Akib Shaikh and 19-year-old Kafil Sayed both residents of Fatorda and both were her Instagram friends.
The two apparently took the girl to a flat in Fatorda where she was given a cigarette to smoke after which she felt dizzy and lost consciousness and when she recovered her senses she saw that they were taking her photographs.
The girl complained to the police at around 9 pm and accordingly police have booked a case against the two under Sections 328, 354, 354(B) and 354(C) read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code for causing hurt by means of poison and sexual harassment of a woman.
Investigating Officer PSI Pradnya Joshi implied that other sections may be incorporated as the medical report of the victim girl is still awaited.
