Margao: In a very interesting comment on the sidelines of the press conference Luizinho Faleiro addressed along with TMC Goa in-charge Mahua Moitra and Benaulim candidate Churchill Alemao, TMC Rajya Sabha member Luizinho Faleiro made a direct reference to two promising TMC leaders who were denied tickets, Adv Antonio Clovis da Costa and Adv Yatish Naik from Velim and Saligao respectively. Faleiro is mentor of sorts to at least one and looked up by the other.
Without mentioning their names, Mr Faleiro said, “Two dynamic articulate professionals of the TMC were denied tickets. Their presence on the candidate list would have strengthened the party narrative that we are giving fresh young educated faces to the legislative process and credible faces to choose from, like we have given in Fatorda”
Naik, has subsequently left the party expressing hurt and anger at the party while Antonio Clovis da Costa who has gained widespread support and sympathy from locals who are deeply upset with the TMC for the denial of his ticket, still continues with the party though he has refused to campaign for the last minute entrant Benjamin Silva, who the TMC chose over him.
