Two held for extorting money from businessman

PANJIM: Two persons have been arrested by Mapusa Police for allegedly extorting money from a businessman hailing from Delhi and currently staying in Goa by posing as officials of Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC), Delhi. 

According to the police, the accused, identified as  Nivedita Sharma, 29 from Uttar Pradesh and Bhuvan Arora, 35 from Uttarakhand, along with other accomplices, visited the bungalow of the victim in Mapusa area posing at officials of Delhi Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) in August last year.

The culprits allegedly extorted Rs 30 lakh from the victim allegedly by threatening to involve him in drug case and arrest him.
