VASCO: Two persons were arrested on Tuesday evening by Vasco police for running a sex racket under the garb of running a spa
The arrested were a 45-year-old woman from Mundvel and a 32-year-old Kerala native. Police rescued three women during the raid.
The three rescued women are in the age group of 20 to 35 years. One of the rescued women is a local, the second is a Nepali and the third is from Sangli in Maharashtra.
The rescued women were allegedly employed as masseuse, but were forced to offer sex.
“On a tipoff that sex service was being provided at the spa, we sent a fake customer to the spa, who confirmed that sex trade was being run at the spa. Later, we entered the spa and found clothes with seminal discharge and stains. Police also found that the three women were exclusively hired for the purpose,” police said.
The arrested have been booked under Section 379 read with 34 of IPC and under Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act.
