VASCO: One Vikram Bhandari (23), a native of Darjeeling, was arrested for stealing a shoulder bag owned by a Finnish national Juuso Pentti Ahvenainen at Bogmalo beach.
Police said that the accused was caught red handed by the locals present on the beach on Tuesday evening. The shoulder bag of the tourist contained one Apple I-Phone, cash of Rs 2,400 etc total worth amounting to Rs 35,000.
Meanwhile, in another theft case, the Mormugao Police arrested one Ramu Chalwadi (41), a resident of Katem Baina for stealing mobile phone. Police said that the theft complaint was reported by one Kuthwalkar, a resident of MPT quarters.
